The Cowshed Café is a pleasant coffee-and-cake stop at Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village, useful for rides between Stratford, Henley-in-Arden and Wootton Wawen. For cyclists, the main limitation is bike parking, so I would treat it as a quick stop rather than a long lunch.
First impression
The Cowshed has a relaxed farm-shop feel and sits within Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village, which gives it more character than a standard roadside café. It feels like somewhere you would naturally stop if your ride already brings you through Wootton Wawen or the lanes between Stratford and Henley-in-Arden. It is not a dedicated cycling café, and it does not feel as deliberately set up for cyclists as somewhere like Gilks or The Garden Shed. That does not mean it is a bad stop; it just means I would use it in a different way.
The ride there
Wootton Wawen is a useful location for cycling routes in this part of Warwickshire. The Cowshed works well if you are riding between Stratford-upon-Avon, Henley-in-Arden, Bearley, Claverdon or the lanes towards Welford-on-Avon. The surrounding area is good for building a varied road route, especially if you use the quieter lanes rather than simply following the most direct roads. It also gives you another option close to The View, although the two cafés feel quite different. Where The View feels more like a scenic destination, The Cowshed feels more like a convenient refuel stop if you are already passing nearby.
Food, coffee and facilities
The café offers breakfast, lunch, cakes and homemade scones, and the wider Yew Tree Farm setting gives it a pleasant place-to-stop feel. I have not tried the main menu, so I would not want to overstate that side of it from a cyclist's point of view. For me, this is more of a coffee-and-cake stop than a full sit-down refuel. That is partly because of the bike situation, but also because it feels better suited to a shorter pause during a ride rather than a long lunch stop.
Bike-friendliness
This is where The Cowshed is more limited. There is no bike rack, and the outdoor seating is fairly limited. If you sit inside the café, you cannot easily see your bike, so I would personally feel compelled to sit outside with it. That is fine if there is space and the weather is good, but it does make the stop less flexible than cafés where bike parking is more obvious or visible from the seating area. For a solo rider or a small group, it can still work perfectly well for a quick coffee and cake. For a larger group, or if the outdoor tables are already full, it becomes less straightforward.
Is it worth the detour?
I would not make a large detour purely for The Cowshed, but I would happily use it if my route already passed through Wootton Wawen. Its strength is convenience and setting rather than being a standout cycling café. If you want a quick stop, a drink and something sweet before carrying on, it works well. If you want secure bike parking, lots of outdoor space or a long relaxed meal where you do not have to think about the bike, other cafés on the Ride Coffee Return map are stronger.

The Cowshed Café is a useful stop, but I would keep expectations realistic from a cycling point of view. It has a pleasant setting at Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village and works well for coffee and cake if you are riding through Wootton Wawen. The lack of a bike rack and limited outdoor seating are the main drawbacks. Because I cannot see the bike from inside, I would only really use it as a quick outside stop rather than a longer sit-down café break. Used that way, it earns its place on Ride Coffee Return, but more as a convenient refuel option than a destination cycling café.
