First impression
Espresso Barn feels like a proper coffee stop rather than just a general café that happens to serve coffee. It has a relaxed, independent feel, and the name is a fair reflection of what it does well: good-quality coffee in a setting that suits a cycling stop. It also feels genuinely popular with cyclists. That matters, because some cafés are technically usable by bike but do not really feel like cycling stops. Espresso Barn does.
The ride there
Long Marston is a useful location if you are riding south from Stratford-upon-Avon or linking together the lanes towards Welford-on-Avon, Ilmington, Mickleton or the northern edge of the Cotswolds. It is close enough to Stratford to work as a shorter café ride, but it also sits naturally on longer routes heading further south. For me, Espresso Barn works best as a planned coffee stop on a Stratford or south Warwickshire loop. It is not trying to be a big countryside destination in the same way as Hilltop or The View, but as a practical ride stop it makes a lot of sense.
Food, coffee and facilities
The coffee is the clear strength here. It is very good quality, and this is one of the cafés on the list where I would be happy to stop primarily for the coffee rather than just because the location is convenient. The food offering is more café-stop than full farm-shop lunch, but that suits the place. It works well for coffee, cake, light food and a mid-ride refuel. Based on my visit, service was quick and friendly, which makes a big difference when you are stopping during a ride and do not want the café break to take over the whole morning.
Bike-friendliness
Espresso Barn works well for cyclists. The bike rack is right next to the outside seating area, which makes the stop feel easy and relaxed. The café is also set towards the back of the plot, so people generally approach from one direction rather than constantly passing through from all sides. That layout makes the bike parking feel more comfortable than at some cafés where the bikes are close to a pavement or busy entrance. Combined with the outdoor seating, it is a practical setup for riders. It also seems to be a popular cycling stop, which adds to the feeling that arriving in kit with a bike is completely normal.
Is it worth the detour?
Yes, especially if coffee quality is high on your list. Espresso Barn may not have the dramatic setting of The View or the broader food offering of some farm shop cafés, but it does the core cycling café job very well: good coffee, quick service, friendly staff and sensible bike parking. If I were riding south of Stratford and wanted a reliable coffee stop, this would be one of the easier cafés to recommend.

It is not the largest or most dramatic café on the list, but it does the simple things well. For a proper coffee-led ride stop south of Stratford, Espresso Barn is an easy recommendation.
