It feels relaxed, informal and well suited to the Greenway itself. This is not really a traditional road-cyclist café in the same way as Gilks or The Garden Shed. It feels more like somewhere to stop on a casual ride, a family ride, or a gentle loop out of Stratford.

You can roll up traffic-free, stop for coffee and cake, and then carry on towards Milcote, Long Marston or back into Stratford. That makes it particularly useful for family rides, mixed-ability rides or anyone wanting a more relaxed route away from traffic. For road cyclists, it depends on the ride. If you are already using the Greenway or riding around Stratford, Bobby's makes sense. If you are trying to keep to faster road routes, it may feel less natural as a stop, especially as the Greenway surface and shared-use nature are not always ideal for every road ride.
Food, coffee and facilities
The menu is simple, which suits the setting. This is somewhere I would think of for coffee, cake or a light bite rather than a large mid-ride refuel. It is the sort of place where the setting is part of the appeal. The steps up into the carriage are worth mentioning. They are not ideal in road cleats, so I would be careful going in and out, especially if the steps are wet.
Bike-friendliness
Bobby's is bike-accessible rather than fully bike-secure. There is no dedicated bike rack, and because the café sits directly on the Greenway, people are passing in both directions. For that reason, I would not be comfortable leaving my bike unattended for long. In practice, I would lean the bike against an outside table or keep it very close by. That works fine if you can sit outside or if the café is quiet, but it is less reassuring than cafés where there is proper bike parking or a more contained outdoor area.
Is it worth the detour?
For a relaxed Greenway ride, yes. For a road ride, it depends. Bobby's is probably not somewhere I would make a major detour for on a fast road loop, but if I was riding through Stratford or using the Greenway, I would happily include it. Its strengths are the location, the railway carriage character, the cakes and the relaxed feel. The limitations are the lack of bike racking, the need to keep the bike close, and the slightly awkward carriage steps in cleats.

It is best suited to casual rides, family rides and gentle Stratford loops rather than being a serious road-cyclist destination. The cakes are good, the menu is simple, and the setting is memorable. The main caution is bike security. There is no bike rack, and with people moving both ways along the Greenway, I would keep the bike outside and close by rather than leaving it unattended. Used in the right way, Bobby's is a lovely stop — just one I would treat as a relaxed Greenway café rather than a full road-ride refuel.
